Frequently Asked Questions about Member Subscriptions
Yes, when you complete the subscription process, you will receive a user name and a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.
We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password. Details about how to do this will be included as part of the subscription process.
If your institution has a print subscription, it will be eligible to have an electronic version of the journal as well. In so doing, you will automatically have access to the Tables of Contents, Abstracts, full-text searching, full text display, PDFs, Medline and GenBank links, and future Tables of Contents. You'll also see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution.
If your institution does not have a print subscription, it cannot get an electronic version of The American Journal of Pathology. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, please contact your local librarian.
Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the print version for the foreseeable future. At some time, the print and electronic versions may be available as separate subscriptions.
ASIP Members are eligible for Member Subscriptions to Am J Pathol, providing them with a print and electronic version of the journal. Members may also have access to Am J Pathol Online through an Institutional Subscription. Institutional Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions. The special member services are not available to non-member subscribers, and full-text access from of the institution's network (e.g. home access) is not available.
You may wish to apply for ASIP membership or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print subscription which provides access to the electronic version. Without a subscription you have access to Tables of Contents, Abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing) at no cost and without having to register.
Information about ASIP Membership and application forms are available from the ASIP.
